INMA: “Als 4 anys de néixer, els contaminants inhalats en l’embaràs afecten només als nens”

Una investigadora del Departament de Medicina Preventiva i Salut Pública de la UPV/EHU ha publicat recentment una investigació dins del Projecte INMA, en el qual han mesurat com afecta l’exposició de dones embarassades als contaminants ambientals PM2.5 i NO2 als seus descendents, als 4 anys del naixement. Es perjudiquen principalment la memòria, la parla i la cognició general, i és als nens a qui afecten majorment, encara que és una afecció petita.
