Environmental justice

As inhabitants of Earth, human beings we have rights and obligations that constitute the frame of our relations with our environment (environmental and social).

Environmental justice is inspired by the principle that recognises the same right to the benefits of the environmental and cultural supply of the planet for all people. This is expressed through the political, social and economic protection and implementation of those rights, both locally and globally, and ensuring a fair treatment whatever the race, income or culture (among other personal characteristics) is.

“All the inhabitants deserve to be protected of the pollution … All deserve clean air, pure water, earth without pollution and healthy food. To protect our environment means to protect our health, the health of our families, our neighbours, our economy", in words of Carol Browner, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency of EE.UU between 1993 and 2000.
