INMA, the protagonist of ISEE 2011
And it did so with respect to the presence of researchers and collaborators, for the topics addressed regarding the Environmental Epidemiology, the axis on which structure the 23 Congress of the ISEE, an international organization with nearly 1,000 members from more 60 countries, spread across Latin America and the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Central Europe, the Caucasus, South Asia and East Asia.
!17 papers were presented!
ISEE was once again the mirror of the vitality that characterizes the INMA project and its researchers, as noted in the 17 abstracts submitted or on the high participation of Dr. Jordi Sunyer in Congress. INMA Project Director participated in 35 abstracts, a high figure.
In turn, many employees did INMA moderators in the different sessions of Congress. Cristina Villanueva in the session 'Water contaminants and Health I', Martine Vrijheid in 'PFCs and Health', Jordi Sunyer on 'Environmental Exposures and Child Health', Maribel Casas in 'How to estimate Exposures early in life: differents options, different results?', Ferran Ballester 'Air Polution and reproductive effects', Michelle Mendez 'Food, Environment and Health', Martine Vrijheid on 'Emerging neurotoxins' or Sunyer own doctor again in 'Air Pollution and neurocognitive function'.
Acceptance of two jobs
And of all the entries, two were accepted. Maribel Larrañaga work 'Social inequalities in health ENB pregnant women in the cohort INMA: effects on the habits and self-care during pregnancy', and Juanjo Aurrekoetxea with 'Prevalence of smoking and snuff smoke vs urinary cotinine pregnant women in a Spanish cohort'.
